ADULT

Our Adult program is available for students thirteen and over.  Classes are divided into three courses that teach life-saving skills as well as stroke technique (see level descriptions below).  We run four sessions of Adult classes: Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall.  Class schedules vary by session but we offer at least two weekday classes after 7pm and later, and several weekend classes between 9am and 1pm.

BEGINNER 1:

In the shallow well and main pool

No requirements

Goals:

  • Complete immersion
  • Floating on front and back
  • Kicking with board
  • Side-breathing technique
  • Freestyle and Backstroke technique

BEGINNER 2:

In the shallow well and main pool

Requirements: Students should have completed Beginner 1, or its equivalent

Goals:

  • Freestyle and Backstroke development
  • Diving
  • Building Endurance
  • Breaststroke technique

INTERMEDIATE:

In the main pool

Requirements: Students should have completed Beginner 2, or its equivalent

Goals:

  • Build endurance in freestyle, backstroke, and breaststroke
  • Learn butterfly
  • Diving
  • Flip turns
